CRS mourns the loss of Henrietta Rauenhorst

Catholic Relief Services extends our deepest condolences to the family of Henrietta Rauenhorst, mother-in-law of CRS Board member Karen Rauenhorst and a longtime CRS benefactor. Mrs. Rauenhorst died early Wednesday morning, Oct. 13, following a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Gerald A. Rauenhorst, seven children, 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Deeply committed to her faith, Mrs. Rauenhorst was active in supporting the Church and its institutions locally, nationally and globally through volunteer service and philanthropy. The Rauenhorst family’s generous support of Catholic Relief Services’ emergency relief and development programs have helped CRS and our Church partners overseas to demonstrate the values of mutual love and respect for all humankind that Mrs. Rauenhorst promoted throughout her life.

An obituary on Mrs. Rauenhorst was published in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, as well as by her alma mater, St. Catherine University.
