CRS Donor Devoted His Life to Changing Lives

Michael Phillips spent his life helping people in need around the world. From his volunteer work to his career as a substance abuse counselor, Michael spent each day putting his faith into action.

Michael lived on a social worker’s salary, and when he died at he age of 48,  his donations to CRS surpassed six figures.  In a given year, he donated half of his $34,000 salary to help the poor around the world.
