Advent Reflection: Week 1, Day 6

Today’s Readings

Reflect: This past September, CRS showcased how its HIV programs are providing support and care to people with HIV overseas. At a forum called “A Continuum of Care” technical practitioners and global leaders from programs around the world gathered to hear the profound effect this approach to care is having on millions of lives, particularly in Africa. CRS is proud to live out our mission of giving hope to a world of need. Throughout this Advent season, reflect on how you give hope to others. As you journey toward the miracle of Jesus’ birth, be mindful in a different way of your actions in the world.

Pray: We pray that vulnerable people are protected from secondary illness as they struggle to make the best of life. For them, Jesus, we express a profound gratitude for life as we approach your birthday. Through our hope and prayer, may we find our way to your manger, peacefully and purposefully. Amen.

Act: Join CRS’ legislative network, which mobilizes grassroots supporters throughout the United States to advocate for legislation that makes a difference in the lives of the world’s poor, especially in Africa. Click here to sign up.
