Catholic Relief Services cordially invites you to an exhibit of southern Sudan photos by Karen Kasmauski, a renowned photographer who has shot 25 major stories for National Geographic magazine.
In January 2011, through a peaceful vote, southern Sudanese determined for themselves the future of their nation. As the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between northern and southern Sudan concludes, the possibility of a return to violence still looms. Through thought-provoking photos, the exhibit shows how development programs run by Catholic Relief Services, such as agriculture, water, health, and education, are a means for building peace in Sudan.
View the exhibit Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 11 in the Rayburn House Office Building Foyer (first floor) located at Independence Ave. and South Capitol St. SW, Washington, DC
Meet the photographer at a reception on March 10 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
