In early February 2011, military clashes broke out on the border between Thailand and Cambodia. Though the conflict soon left the headlines, it displaced thousands of people who had to flee shooting.

With support from Catholic Relief Services, Caritas Cambodia cared for people living in temporary shelters. Caritas provided 11 tanks of water, bedding, rice, buckets, and other supplies to 2000 families living in the makeshift camps. CRS is coordinating with Caritas Thailand to support displaced people on the Thai border as well.
