Join Discussion on Peace in the Holy Land

With Pope Benedict XVI’s recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land, and President Obama’s recent meetings with leaders of Israel, Palestine and Arab nations and a major address in Cairo (http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/Remarks-by-the-President-at-Cairo-University-6-04-09/), it is important for us as Catholics in the United States to support efforts to help bring about peace in the Middle East.

Want to know more about the current on-the-ground situation in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem?  The Catholic Church’s position on conflict and peace in the Middle East?  Concrete ways for you to make a real impact on the situation there?  Join us for an online Catholics Confront Global Poverty discussion:

The Holy Land: New Hope for Peace?
