CRS Awarded Prestigious ‘Development Project of the Year’

CRS’ TB project in Maguindanao, a province of the Philippines, was awarded as the International Relief and Development Project of the year. The ceremony took place on October 21 in London. It was the first time a nongovernment organization won this award.

From the Association for Project Management:

International Relief and Development Project of the Year – sponsored by Project Manager Today magazine – Maguindanao Tuberculosis Control Project, Catholic Relief Services

This is a four-year partnership project for Catholic Relief Services and the Integrated Provincial Health Office, with funding assistance from the United States Agency for International Development. It aims to reduce TB stigma and TB morbidity and mortality through increased detection by upgrading health facilities and training health workers to become more responsive and effective at managing TB cases.
